“ Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Want to guess what I ordered at another Cha Caan Teng? Yup, baked porkchop rice with a tomato sauce with real chunks inside and topped with some cheese—classic. The Hainanese Chicken impressed me the most. It had ultra-tender and smooth chicken, seasoned rice, and the classic trio of sweet dark soy sauce, chilli sauce, and ginger scallion oil. ”
“ There are a lot of chinese restaurants around this area. You will see a long line up for the outside. For takeaway, you still need 30 minutes for waiting. I give 5 stars for the famous Hainan chicken rice. For the pork chop rice, I only give 3 stars. The rice is not fried rice and too soft. And for the milktea, I suggest the owner change the tea leaves. It's too bitter compared to other restaurants. Overall, I give 4 stars to the food quality. ”

“ Finally got time to wait 45 mins for a table one Saturday afternoon. Got the famous pork baked rice and curry beef brisket. Brisket needed more cooking time and cheese on baked rice was just barely melting. Grill pork on pineapple bun was surprisingly filling though with hot milk tea. Overall price was good for the portion but not really met expectations for the time waited. ”

There menu carries some authentic Hong Kong style snack such as fish balls, rice rolls, Siu Mai, etc. Due to the size of the cafe, there is always a wait for table. You might have to spare sometime before you are seated. In general, you can properly enjoy a meal with close feelings to those from Hong Kong cafe. ”
